Each year, Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation hosts the Rays of Hope Breakfast.
The 2017 Rays of Hope Breakfast raised over $132,000 to support the Samaritan Homeless Clinic, Mothers Empowered and Breast Cancer Patient Assistance. The event was an uplifting and lively morning, where professionals, philanthropists and civic leaders united to begin their day giving gifts so that other people can have a better life.
Your gifts are providing over 1,800 homeless individuals and families with medical, dental and mental health care. In its 25th year, the Samaritan Homeless Clinic continues to be a much-needed refuge for those who need easily accessible, high-quality health care regardless of their ability to pay.
Your gifts are ensuring mothers and babies have access to an innovative model of prenatal care and parenting education aimed at reducing high infant mortality rates in our community. Over the past 7 years, 300 mothers and babies are thriving because of your gifts. Mothers Empowered makes sure anyone can access high-quality prenatal care, close to home.
Your gifts are supporting cancer patients and their families who need financial assistance to help them on the road to recovery. Breast cancer patients who need assistance have usually exhausted their disability benefits and are not able to work as they recover from surgery and treatment.
We are grateful to each person who contributed to the success of this event and for the support of our donors and community.
We need your leadership and support to be able to continue to:
- Demonstrate Faith: Engaging Good Samaritans who seek faith-centered opportunities to transform lives
- Inspire Compassion: Providing life transforming programs and services community members want and need
- Act with Courage: Supporting evidenced based excellence in caring for every patient, every time that results in enhanced health.
The 2018 Rays of Hope Breakfast will be held on Thursday, November 1st at The Ponitz Center, Sinclair Community College, 301 W. Fourth Street, Dayton OH 45402. It will run from 7:30 am – 9:00 am.
